About The Role:

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification in electrical installation, maintenance and repair. You will work alongside qualified electricians to develop the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings
  • Support qualified electricians on-site and follow instructions carefully
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical diagrams
  • Help with inspection and testing of electrical systems
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly
  • Follow health & safety regulations at all times
  • Keep work areas clean and organised

Training & Development

  • Attend college or training provider as required (e.g. working towards Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification)
  • Gain practical on-the-job experience
  • Work towards industry-recognised certifications such as SVQ Level 3 / SCQF level 7

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in electrical work and engineering
  • Good school level of education ideally including Maths and English
  • Good practical skills and willingness to learn
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of health & safety practices (preferred but not essential)

Desirable Skills

  • Problem-solving ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic IT skills
  • Previous experience in construction or manual work (advantageous but not required)
