Shift Pattern: This role is working night shifts on a 4 on, 4 off basis. Shifts are either 10pm - 6am or 10pm - 8am.
This role is based at Chessington World of Adventures. As part of the resort Security team this role will consist of site security patrols, site lockdown, asset transfers, CCTV reviewing, proactive tasking, as well as guest interaction. Working closely with the local authorities to carry out various operations, whilst keeping everyone’s safety at the forefront of our business. This is a fast paced and active role involving outside working and is predominantly night-time based.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of customer service to our guests, in line with company values ensuring targets are met whilst remaining professional at all times.
- Assist with evening events at the Resort, ensuring an amazing experience and responding to any incidents throughout.
- Respond to potential intruders in a professional and timely manner ensuring terms and conditions are being adhered to.
- Utilise the skills learned during the qualification of SIA Door Supervisor and CCTV Licence and the Chessington World of Adventures Resort Induction and training journey to deliver Security standards to an excellent level at all times.
- Support the safe and secure operation of the resort according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures, legislation and guidelines.
- Capable and able to be trained further in Conflict Management
- Able to carry out bags checks during evening events or thorough area searches, remaining vigilant at all times.
- Have the ability to remain calm in situations of conflict or violence when faced with confrontational guests and staff and remain in control of incidents.
- Patrol the Resort, being vigilant for any threats to the safety of the Resort.
- Carry out checks such as fire alarm checks, building lockdown checks and asset transfers.
- Assist the Profit protection team in ensuring all assets remain monitored and safe at all times.
- Enforce the Site access policy for all vehicles entering the Resort by way of delivery, contractors or emergency services.
- Operate within all legislative requirements in set by the Security Industry Authority and enforce the company’s policies procedures, terms and conditions.
- To utilise provided communications systems (radios, phones, email) to ensure communication within the team, and the wider Resort, is clear and effective at all times.
We are looking for:
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate in an effective and positive manner with all customers and colleagues
- Must hold a SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Must have an active and in date SIA CCTV licence and experience using CCTV systems
- High level of motivation both self and in a team
- Proficient in a variety of communications systems, including radio and telephone use.
- Proficient in English language
- Team Player and ability to work independently
- Lead and uphold required standards in moments of conflict or violence and deliver good results
- Interpersonal and relationship building skills within team and networking with other employees at the resort
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to talk to all types of guests
