Shift Pattern: Working 5 days a week, 10-6pm and a day of the weekend each week.
This role will be working at Chessington World of Adventures and you will be working closely with Security and other departments across the resort, supporting with the creating, implement and manage procedures to ensure a smoothly run operation, guaranteeing Health & Safety and guest experience are never compromised.
A key member of the Security Management Team, you will support in providing Security Duty Manager and Emergency Services Co-Ordinator cover when required, as well as managing the department in provision of incident management response, in line with legal requirements and the company’s Health, Safety & security guidelines.
As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a 24hr/365 day a year Security operation, working flexible hours, including Early, Lates, Weekends and Bank Holidays to support the Resort operations and effectively lead the department.
- You will ensure that the team actively provide a safe environment for our guests, employees & contractors, providing protection for our company assets. This will be done by the day-to-day management of the team, active involvement in departmental strategic objectives such as site security and daily resort operations.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the department efficiently through appropriate allocation of resources. React to unexpected operational challenges in a calm, efficient and professional manner.
- You will take a leading role in assisting with Resort incidents as well as monitoring CCTV and Resort radios, ensuring key information is delivered via the appropriate channels, driving excellent communication across all communication channels during operating periods.
- Have a high-level understanding of all emergency procedures on Resort, assisting with the delivery of all Security related aspects of incident management for the Resort and acting as the Emergency Service Co-Ordinator when required.
- Demonstrate an ability to remain calm in situations of conflict when faced with confrontational guests and staff and remain in overall control of incidents.
- Manages conflict positively and proactively to minimise the need for physical intervention, leading a culture of positive resolution where possible.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
- Must hold a valid SIA CCTV Licence and experience using CCTV systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in a variety of communications systems, including radio and telephone use.

- Able to remain calm in high-pressure incidents, with the ability to prioritise tasks and handle a high workload.
