Role Purpose:       

The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support & assist in the management of various Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting and M&E projects across our client’s property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Client's Facilities Department in the implementation of contracts, projects, maintenance activities, and operational requirements across multiple sites.
  • Liaise with the Facilities Manager, Hard Services Coordinator, subcontractors, and service providers to schedule and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory maintenance, and reactive works.
  • Manage Planned Maintenance schedules, resources, and self-delivery PM activities, ensuring completion safely, on time, and in compliance with statutory obligations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the delivery of Technical Services, Hard Services, and Capital Projects within the assigned portfolio.
  • Act as the key stakeholder and escalation point for Facilities Managers, Regional Managers, and Capital Project activities within the region.
  • Coordinate and supervise onsite activities, contractor access, inductions, permits to work, RAMS reviews, and subcontractor performance to minimise operational disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and statutory requirements, including:
Safe Systems of Work
EH&S legislation
Client site rules and regulations
Environmental and recycling policies
Contractor safety compliance
  • Maintain a proactive approach to Health & Safety and promote safe working practices across all activities.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of building services and infrastructure, especially in relation to full understanding of electrical systems, and good understanding of Fire Alarm systems, HVAC and other building technologies.
  • Attend site meetings, surveys, Project meetings, and other stakeholder meetings as required.
  • Support the Facilities Department through project coordination, weekly updates, progress reporting, and presentation preparation.
  • Ensure maintenance records, CMMS (eMaint) data, and associated documentation are accurately maintained and updated.
  • Manage and oversee subcontractors, specialist consultants, vendors, and service providers supporting the contract.
  • Drive energy management, efficiency initiatives, benchmarking activities, best practices, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Develop, implement, and manage regional and client-specific initiatives and programmes.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal OCS teams, client stakeholders, contractors, and external partners.
  • Monitor performance against contractual KPIs and SLAs, ensuring 100% statutory compliance within the region.
  • Support the team in the development of budgets, forecasts, accruals, and financial reporting in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Identify opportunities for self-delivery of services and operational efficiencies.
  • Produce and lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and client-specific reporting in line with OCS and Client reporting requirements including asset lists, etc.
  • Provide people management and leadership responsibilities as required.
  • Undertake hands on electrical works and any other duties reasonably required, consistent with the broad nature of the role.
