About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday

Lead, inspire, and develop catering teams to deliver consistently high‑quality, craft‑driven food and service.

Oversee menu development, food production standards, and innovation while maintaining compliance with all safety and quality regulations. Manage full financial performance of the catering function, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, margin improvement, and reporting. Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence and long‑term partnership success.

Drive operational efficiency, workforce planning, and continuous improvement across all catering sites. Ensure a culture of professionalism, accountability, and customer focus throughout the catering operation. Proven craft‑based catering expertise with a passion for high‑quality food and service. Experience managing multi‑site or large‑scale catering operations is highly desirable

Strong financial management skills with the ability to analyse data, manage budgets, and deliver commercial results

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the Senior Chef to create seasonal food and drink menus for the site and any events for the client and its visitors.
  • Oversee all staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers, ensuring that the team’s creations meet the client’s needs. You must also ensure that all legal and company requirements are meet daily
  • Be responsible for training their team members on menus, serving procedures, company etiquette, safety standards, and regulations
  • Adhere to budgets set by their line manager when planning catering operations, allocating the budget for food, cooking equipment, staffing, and equipment
  • Establish relationships with vendors and ensure that food and other supplies are bought from the correct vendor, ensuring the best prices are obtained

What are we looking for?

  • Have experience at a multi-site level within Contract Catering
  • Have the ability and interest in being hands-on and visible in their sites when visiting
  • Have operations management, or a related catering at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Be a natural leader who gains follow-ship
  • You should be a logical problem solver, able to think on their feet

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Be prepared to undergo a DBS or Enhanced Security Check
  • A Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management is beneficial
  • Extensive experience in the management of catering operations and teams is essential
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of catering managers
  • Be able to develop strong relationships with clients and catering managers to ensure that expectations are met
  • Be effective in planning and coordination of catering services within the designated area
  • While not always mandatory, having a food hygiene certificate (Level 3) is advantageous
