Cleaning Operative

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday early mornings. Timings to be confirmed at interview. Overtime on weekends and bank holidays are also available.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide a High Standard of cleaning within the Kent Police Buildings this would include the cleaning of Office Areas, Toilets/Showers, Kitchen Areas and General Cleaning of Cells,

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure cleaning duties are carried out in accordance with the cleaning specification and work schedules including Custody but not Foul Cells.
• Complete ADHOC jobs as requested by your line manager
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is always required.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed.
• Follow the safe use of chemicals guidance (COSHH).
• To ensure the handover of any outstanding work.

Skills & abilities:

• Good communication skills,
• Ability to operate in a pressurised environment.
• Excellent time management.
• Attention to detail and proactive.
• Ability to work under own initiative and also as a member of a team

Experience:

• Experience in working within a team as well as on your own – essential
• Knowledge of COSHH

Any other requirements:

• Flexible approach to working hours, including working weekends & Bank Holidays
•  Willingness to take any further appropriate training.
