Security Officer position deliver a 5* professional, friendly, first impression to staff & visitors.
Managing the standard processes of ‘front-of-house’: post, couriers, contractors, general visitors and the associated access and signing-in procedures.
Working in a friendly, proactive, manner – using initiative to find ways of developing the occupiers-experience. Our staff will have the ‘can do’ approach and will work very effectively with letting agents, building management and other property professionals.

Managing Entrance/Exit:
Set up, manage, and take ownership of front entrance area to ensure the ambience reflects “clients and tenants” expectations.
Meet, greet, and manage visitors – ‘become the friendly face of the building’.
Provide a first impression to all guests and visitors.
Represent OCS in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
Manage couriers, post and all deliveries.
Manage Ground, 1st & 2nd Floors security throughout the day.
General Management and Security of the building:
Develop effective relationships with clients, agents and contractors.
Ensure that the building front entrance is always immaculately presented.
Liaison with building manager to help ensure contractors carry out their duties effectively and assist with any other tasks requested.
Reporting issues and managing to resolution through the correct process
Have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Provide general security duties.
Security Role
Complete Fire route patrol to ensure walkways and fire exits are clear before staff/guests & Service users enter the building.
• Checking Passes, anyone without a pass will be subject to a search, subject individuals to a metal detection and or a bag search where required at property.
Confiscating Items that the security deemed dangerous, list is not exhaustive, and all confiscations logged.
Patrolling all building floors for persons who maybe lost or not authorised to be in the building. In addition, look for health and safety issues.
Report to the Building Manager any Health and safety issues to allow them to be logged and rectified during working hours and report them direct if out of hours and informing the Building Manager as soon as reasonably practical.
Accompany contractors and visitors within the building if required.

Escort persons to the correct departments.
Report and fill in incident reports.
Ensure that the sub-contractor forms are signed when contractor is entering and exiting the building.
Respond to alarm activation within building.
Complete “Fire Test” as directed by client and in Assignment Instructions.
Complete “Panic Alarm Testing” as directed by client and in Assignment Instructions.
Complete “Disabled Refuge Points Testing” as directed by client and in Assignment Instructions.
Complete “Screamer Point Test” as directed by client and in Assignment Instructions.
Issue visitor and contractor passes when needed.
Take in mail out of hours.
Lost & Found Property
Lock/open building.
