OCS UK & Ireland is a leading facilities management company with 50,000+ colleagues and a turnover in excess of £2bn. We deliver innovative, award-winning services within facilities management, hard services, cleaning, security and catering.

Our mission is to make people and places the best they can be for our colleagues, customers and the communities we serve. Our commitment to doing business the right way is rooted in our TRUE values - Trust, Respect, Unity, and Empowerment.

About The Role:

OCS is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Regional Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of hard services across a retail-focused portfolio spanning the Channel Islands and a large scale site in the South East of England.

This role is ideally suited to a proactive facilities professional with strong technical expertise, excellent client-facing skills, and a proven background in multi-site retail FM. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, statutory compliance, and consistent service delivery while acting as a trusted partner to clients.

The role requires weekly attendance at the South East England site and regular travel to the Channel Islands (typically 1–2 days per month).

Key Responsibilities

Hard Services & Facilities Management

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day hard FM operations across a geographically diverse retail portfolio.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance for all building services, ensuring continuity of operations and minimal disruption to trading environments.
  • Ensure assets are maintained to agreed standards, maximising lifecycle value and performance.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients across the region, building strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Attend regular client meetings, provide operational updates, and respond promptly to issues or escalations.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations, contractual KPIs, and SLAs.

Vendor & Supply Chain Management

  • Manage and coordinate specialist subcontractors and service partners, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work.
  • Monitor contractor performance and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company H&S requirements across all sites.
  • Maintain robust control of risk assessments, method statements, and compliance documentation.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture throughout the region.

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Develop, manage, and control regional maintenance budgets.
  • Monitor cost performance, ensuring budgets and Work In Progress (WIP) targets are met.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies without compromising service quality.

Reporting & Governance

  • Produce accurate and timely operational, financial, and compliance reports for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain asset registers, compliance trackers, and lifecycle plans.

ESG & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and implement OCS Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives across the region.
  • Drive energy efficiency, sustainability improvements, and best practice FM solutions.

Travel & Site Attendance

  • Attend South East England sites on a weekly basis.
  • Travel to the Channel Islands approximately 1–2 days per month, subject to operational needs and project activity.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a regional or multi-site facilities management role, ideally within retail hard services FM.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building services, statutory compliance, and maintenance regimes.
  • Client Focus: Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets, forecasting costs, and controlling WIP.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence engaging at all levels.
  • Problem Solving: Calm, structured approach to resolving operational and technical issues.
