About The Role:

The Head of IT Business Engagement (UK&I) ensures IT works closely with the UK&I business to enable growth, operational excellence, and successful mobilisation of new contracts. The role acts as the bridge between business strategy and IT delivery.

The successful candidate will sit on our UK&I IT senior leadership team and will be based in our Ipswich head office, on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior business partner between IT and the UK & Ireland business, ensuring strong alignment between commercial priorities and technology delivery
  • Translate business strategy and growth ambitions into effective, scalable IT solutions that enable performance and innovation
  • Play a key role in bid and sales activity, delivering client‑facing presentations and providing expert technology input into new opportunities
  • Lead the design of robust IT solution architectures to support new contract wins and long‑term client success
  • Own IT delivery during contract mobilisation, ensuring systems, capabilities and readiness are in place for seamless contract starts
  • Provide strong governance and financial oversight across UK IT, including investment decisions and bid‑related costs
  • Own demand management, prioritising IT initiatives that deliver the greatest business value
  • Maintain a transparent and well‑governed demand pipeline between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams

In order to be successful within the role, you will ideally have:

  • Senior IT leadership experience within a complex, multi-site organisation
  • Strong presentation skills and experience attending sales pitches to new clients
  • Strong experience in business partnering or client relationship management roles
  • Commercial acumen with experience supporting bids or growth initiatives
  • Strong understanding of IT delivery and project lifecycles
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
