SHIFT PATTERN - 4 on 4 off rolling rota
The Scheduler is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day scheduling across the Morrisons Retail Contract. Providing support and direction for the staff employed on the Contract. They will liaise closely with the Management Team to ensure that all activities are delivered to a ‘Best in Class’ standard and in line with the company values.
The successful candidate will hold and maintain positive customer and supplier relationships, drive business growth, and strongly collaborate with national colleagues, central functions and the senior leadership team to deliver a positive, proactive and progressive environment.
Whilst on duty, all schedulers are expected to as a minimum cover the below responsibilities:
- To accurately roster all security personnel ensuring sufficient cover for annual leave, sickness and absences ensuring manning levels are in line with contractual requirements.
- Working in conjunction with the operational management team to ensure all rotas / schedules are in place to cover the needs of the site, considering peak periods.
- Regularly reviewing the time and attendance system to ensure rostering is accurate to minimize pay queries and prevent shift issues.
- Ensuring contracts are maintained within required contractual hours.
- Establish a thorough understanding of the site requirements across the Contract and ensure adequate cover is provided to mitigate risks across each site.
- Ensure all security staff scheduled have undertaken the appropriate training and have been issued with a SIA licence or a LDN to meet industry requirements prior to being deployed.
- Communicate effectively with the management team, ensuring they are kept aware of any issues.
- Achieve and maintain high standards of work to ensure that audit results are consistently delivered to OCS standards
- Maintain good client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction. Keep the OCS management team informed of any concerns or issues which need addressing.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with the OCS management through effective communication.
- Respond to client feedback and requests in a professional and timely manner. Escalating appropriate matters to the OCS management team.
Health & Safety Accountabilities
- Ensure that the building remains secured, all visitors are correctly signed in/out and escorted accordingly where appropriate.
- Ensure that the kitchen and faculties are maintained, kept clean and tidy and that all crockery and cutlery is cleaned and put away after each shift.
- Ensure that the control room remains clean and tidy. That all desks are free from clutter, waste and excess paperwork when not occupied.
- To maintain a functional control room, escalating any defects with the building and/or equipment provided accordingly to ensure that it is corrected or replaced.
- Ensure that personal H&S competence and skill level is maintained i.e., attended Managing Safety programme and other Company safety events.
- Ensure that the OCS safety image reflects positively through your actions and those of your colleagues.
Objectives

- Keep the team informed of any operational changes and that these are adopted at each site.
- To ensure that sites, personnel and suppliers work safely and within the H&S guidance and that this is always followed by yourself and your team.
