This will ideally be a hybrid-working position, combining working with a vibrant & supportive finance team in our Ipswich head office, visiting clients sites nationally and working from home.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Performance & Reporting
- Own all financial reporting for the contract, including the full monthly P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis.
- Lead financial review meetings with all internal and external stakeholders presenting performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A for the Contract
- Lead the annual budget process for this specific contract
- Deliver monthly forecasts with strong understanding of operational assumptions
- Maintain the contract financial model, including scenarios such as volume changes and changes in delivery approach.
Operational Business Partnering
- Work daily with all stakeholders to ensure they understand the financial impact of operational decisions.
- Translate financial results into operational language, enabling teams to take ownership of contract performance.
- Provide commercial challenge and support on any contract variations or changes.
Working Capital & Cash Management
- Ensure accurate billing and strong commercial governance.
- Drive improvements in billing accuracy, reduction in aged WIP, and overall cash conversion.
Data, Systems & Insight
- Use finance systems and CAFM to produce accurate analytical outputs.
- Improve data quality between operational and finance systems.
- Develop dashboards or trackers to support contract performance management.
In order to be successful within the role, you will ideally have:
- A full accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Experience in contract-based finance, ideally within Technical Services or Hard Facilities Management
- Strong FP&A background with modelling expertise
- Hands-on partnering style with operational teams
- Proven experience of working at pace in operational environments, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Advanced Excel and modelling proficiency
- PowerBI experience preferred
