Maintaining equipment, infrastructure and facilities within the park, to a high standard of efficiency and availability and carrying out small repairs, installations and modifications as required, in accordance with all current legislation, including any electrical modifications, test & inspections, remedial work and completing statuary compliance tasks. Enhancing the experience and Health & Safety of our guests.
Job Purpose
- To provide an efficient timed response to all maintenance issues, consisting of proactive, reactive, health & safety and emergency requests.
- To minimise the downtime on all park related attractions and facilities.
- To complete documentation relating to statutory safety checks and maintenance work on equipment and facilities as described in departmental procedures and HSE guidance notes.
- To complete any electrical modifications, installations, test & inspections, remedial work and completing statuary compliance tasks as required.
Key Accountabilities
- To develop professional and considerate relationships with both internal customer departments and external suppliers and consultants.
- Communicate and feedback effectively to all customers \ departments on their requests for maintenance and operational issues.
- To provide and maintain a personal toolkit as appropriate to the professional and competent completion of maintenance tasks.
- To participate in departmental meetings and propose improvements as appropriate.
- To support the departments management team in fulfilling objectives and function.
- To complete any electrical modifications, installations, test & inspections, remedial work and completing statuary compliance tasks as required.
Skills and experience required for the role:
- Excellent communications skills
- Comfortable carrying out manual duties
- Enthusiastic, passionate and positive towards the company
- Knowledge of the history of the CWOA site
- Post apprenticeship experience within a relevant building services or engineering environment
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems of work
- Previous basic general trades experience(carpentry/plumbing)
Essential Qualifications:
- A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
- The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition)
- Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.
Desirable Qualifications:
- An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
