About The Role:

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off rolling rota. Shifts will range between days (7am until 7pm) and nights (7pm until 7am)

To ensure the compliant delivery of elite security services offered by the company to Chelsea Football Club driving areas such as operational delivery, staff welfare, continuous improvement and ultimately customer satisfaction.

The successful applicant will be motivated, pro-active and with a desire to deliver the very best service to Chelsea Football Club. They will also be able to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ mentality and drive to perform at the very top of their game.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Full responsibility for operational delivery of all Control Room and site-based security activity output;  
  • Line management responsibilities to sub-ordinate operatives such as: Casual workers, Echo staff & Core staff management over all HR matters – Probation reviews, absenteeism/Lateness tracking, Investigations, Record of Discussions – including all paperwork to be sent out and meetings arranged.
  • Ad hoc Recruitment days when required from Site Manager.
  • Escalation of security related activities to appropriate line managers/key stakeholders where required
  • Ensure that routine control room activity and security systems applications are monitored and managed in an efficient and competent manner;
  • Ensure all visitor and contractor movements are processed through the Control in an efficient and compliant manner;  
  • Ensure that Control Room and wider site response to emergencies is effective and protects our client’s assets during every action taken;
  • Ensure that robust and effective contingency plans are in place for all emergencies and events which may cause a negative business impact;
  • Attend weekly site operational meetings when required;
  • Before starting their shifts ensure that all officers are briefed of their duties and are SIA compliant, whether it be core, event, or other ad-hoc shift.
  • Ensure creation and delivery of accreditations for both match day and non-match day for Staff, Contractors, VIP’s, Press, visitors and client staff where required;
  • Conduct site compliance patrols, reviews and physical security contingency reports
  • Ensuring that incident and accident investigations meet time critical targets, are thorough, accurate with remedial action plans created and delivered
  • Conducting TNA (Training Needs Analysis) on sub-ordinates and ongoing training development plans;
  • Ensure that KPI targets are met – Monthly 1-2-1 meetings with officers under your line management including scenario based questions. 
  • Ensure that all incidents are responded to and escalated as per the Incident Response Checklist. 
  • Ensure that KPI targets are met – Fire alarm reports submitted by end of shift that the fire alarm occurred in. 
  • Ensure that KPI targets are met – Daily Fire Shift Report to be submitted by end of every shift.
  • Ensure that weekly MCP tests are conducted and submitted as per the set schedule agreed with the client.
  • Ensure that any critical faults are reported to the relevant client departments as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that all accidents, hazards, or near misses that Security is involved with in any way are reported via the OCS Eco-online system and also reported to the client using the client links. 
  • Conduct Right to Work checks of officers when required to do so.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
  • SIA CCTV licence is also essential for this role
  • Relevant previous experience
  •  Strong customer service skills
  • Highly competent on the following packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum
  • Good knowledge of ISO9001 an advantage;
  • Minimum Level 3 Certificate in Leadership & Management and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
  • Security related courses such as CISM, Diploma/Masters etc is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the security industry
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise tasks, and be flexible with working hours and days
  • Strong IT skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure
