About The Role:

Due to continued success and expansion within our Energy Division, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical site supervisor to join our team. The candidate will be involved in renewable and energy sector projects such as District Heating, Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging and hydro.

About the Role

  • To be competent in installation of containment, wiring, SWA, small power & lighting, solar PV, battery storage and EV charge points
  • Manage logistics onsite on behalf of the company
  • Wide range of projects for domestic, commercial and industrial clients
  • Ensure all electrical work is safe, certified and complies with relevant regulations
  • Adherence to company quality assurance standards
  • Collection of materials and components from suppliers if required
  • Managing paperwork on site including quality checks
  • Be comfortable supervising sub-contractors onsite and reporting to the project manager
  • To ensure that company Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to constantly, and enforce this where necessary
  • Having a clear understanding of planned work and communicating this to the team/subcontractor
  • Creating and maintaining accurate site reports
  • Assisting in overseeing all activities on-site
  • Managing resources of the project to maximise output and deliver to programme
  • Regularly reviewing the team progress against programme
  • Chairing subcontractor site progress meetings
  • Quality inspections
  • Site Health & safety Management inclusive of site Inductions, toolbox talks, Risk Assessments & Method statements and permit management
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • Health and safety on site management
  • SSSTS/SMSTS accredited preferred but not essential
  • LV Testing and Inspection
  • LV Authorised Person Training & Certification (or readiness for internal appointment)
  • Experience in the safe isolation, switching, and control of low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations BS 7671 preferred but not essential
  • Experience in renewable and energy sector projects such as Solar PV farms, battery storage, EV Charging preferred
  • Experience and understanding in design and build projects
  • Proven track record of managing teams
  • Support Project manager in preparation of contract management documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, Technical Submissions, progress reports etc.
  • Health and safety on site management
  • Zero defects attitude

Essential Qualifications:

  • A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
  • The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition)
  •  Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
