About The Role:

Role Purpose

To provide comprehensive Facilities Systems and Support Engineering services across OCS client sites.

This hybrid role combines energy and environmental management with facilities systems engineering, project management, and process improvement.

The Facilities Systems & Support Engineer will lead and support initiatives across systems, energy, sustainability, security, and maintenance, ensuring optimal operational performance, compliance, and innovation in line with company and client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Systems, Engineering & Process Support

  • Coordinate the collection, cleansing, and upload of asset data to CMMS system for client sites.
  • Lead ongoing CMMS development, including report configuration, workflow updates, and integration improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors to identify and test system fixes.
  • Update and refine Facilities process workflows, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Develop and implement mobile maintenance tools; provide training to facilities and contract personnel.
  • Support preventative maintenance (PM) optimisation, standardisation, and documentation.
  • Maintain and update plant and equipment database, floor plans, and drawings (AutoCAD).
  • Assist with BIM introduction and Facilities/Asset Management improvement programs (e.g. IWMS, FCI, RIME).
  • Work collaboratively across Security, Facilities, and Energy teams, coordinating and project managing cross-functional initiatives as required.

Energy & Environmental Management

  • Manage ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) requirements and participate in related audits.
  • Conduct energy and waste reviews, audits, and performance assessments across buildings, assets, and fleets.
  • Maintain and audit the Waste Register across business units and support environmental reporting.
  • Support Corporate Responsibility and BITC sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage Energy Legal Compliance Questionnaires and Opportunity Registers.
  • Contribute to client annual energy and sustainability reporting, and participate in benchmarking programs (e.g. SEAI, Docklands 21, PSMR).
  • Lead energy-efficient design initiatives for new builds and retrofits and promote energy awareness campaigns.

 

Project & Capital Works Management

  • Assist with Project & Capital Works Management Systems 

 

Data, Reporting & Performance Dashboards

  • Develop and maintain the Facilities Tracker Dashboard in collaboration with the Data Team.
  • Identify and define key KPIs for facilities, energy, and maintenance performance.
  • Collaborate with data teams to design and expand dashboard reporting, ensuring data accuracy and visibility.
  • Monitor operational trends, identify improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare periodic progress reports, presentations, and budget updates for internal and client stakeholders.

Compliance, Audit & Continuous Improvement

  • Support ISO and HSQE accreditation programs and statutory maintenance compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with corrective/preventive actions.
  • Promote continuous improvement in maintenance, systems, and sustainability practices.

Competencies & Skills

  • Technical: CMMS systems, AutoCAD, BIM familiarity, Maintenance Engineering.
  • Analytical: Data Analytics, KPI development, Excel, Power BI, Visio.
  • Professional: Project Management, Policy Development, Stakeholder Management, Process Improvement, Service Innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in facilities systems, maintenance, energy management, or project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and collaborate with diverse technical and operational teams.
  • Familiarity with CMMS tools, ISO systems, and sustainability frameworks.

Additional Information

  • Travel to client sites as needed - full driver’s licence required.
  • On‑call and out‑of‑hours support required during critical works or incidents.
