About The Role:

 Overview of the Role

The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overarching technology architecture that enables business processes and data flows to connect in harmony with the end-to-end business architecture in a new fully automated digital business model. Reporting to the Group Director Data & Architecture, the Solutions Architect is accountable for ensuring the content of Client contract requirements and OCS project architecture deliverables accurately reflects the current and future capabilities of the OCS application, integration and infrastructure roadmaps.

You will design solutions and own the development of all solution architecture documentation, working closely with the IT, Cyber, PMO / Project delivery and Business Change teams to develop proposed solutions that meet customer and business requirements, aligned to the Business and IT strategy and principles, and are scalable and extensible to meet future needs.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining future state architectures using documented business requirements.
  • Developing solution options, architecture documentation, and managing the approval and sign-off process.
  • Ensuring the architecture remains contemporary and is regularly reviewed with IT and business colleagues.
  • Managing risks and issues related to architecture design and escalating when necessary.
  • Contributing to the demand management process and Technical Design Authority (TDA) to govern project architecture deliverables.
  • Leading the architecture and development governance community with a focus on solution quality and longevity.
  • Collaborating with architects, business analysts, project managers, PMO, and other technology teams to ensure alignment with IT and Business Strategy.
  • Working with delivery partners and technology vendors to align detailed design and build activities with high-level architecture principles.
  • Developing long-term relationships with colleagues, delivery partners, and technology vendors.
  • Good understanding of the commercial bid processes and the ability to work with commercial teams on formulating multi-application solutions for new business.
  • Strong data skills to support a diverse set of data onboarding and mapping use-cases.

Required Experience

  • Education to at least degree level or equivalent skills and ability.
  • Extensive experience in Solution Architecture.
  • Strong background in technology, particularly in business applications and enterprise integration.

Advantageous Experience

  • Experience in a facilities management environment.
  • Applications: MS Dynamics, Salesforce CRM, Concept Evolution, Maximo
  • Process Automation: Bizagi, Azure Integration Services
  • Enterprise Service Buses (ESBs): Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions
