About The Role:

 
Role Overview:

The HCM Technical Analyst is responsible for the technical support, development, and maintenance of the organisation's HCM systems. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, troubleshooting system issues, and implementing new features or updates. This position is crucial in ensuring that the HCM systems functions smoothly and meets the operational needs of the business.

 
Key Responsibilities: 
 
Functional
 
HCM Systems Support and Maintenance:
 
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the HCM systems (e.g., iTrent, Timegate, Eploy, Totara and other(s)
  • Monitor and maintain HCM systems performance, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Resolve system errors, issues, or inefficiencies, coordinating with internal teams or external vendors if necessary.
  • Manage HCM systems updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the system is up to date.
 
Configuration and Customisation:
  
  • Configure HCM modules and workflows according to business needs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Customise HCM features, fields, and reports using scripting proprietary HCM languages.
  • Support the design and build of custom integrations between the HCM systems and other business applications where needed.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all system configurations, customisations, and processes.
 
Business Analysis and Process Optimisation:
 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their operational needs and how these can be addressed by the HCM systems.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for system improvements or new modules.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the HCM systems, recommending and implementing best practices.
  • Ensure that HCM solutions align with overall business strategies and objectives.

Data Management and Reporting:
 
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of data within the HCM systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and generate custom reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Work with teams to improve data governance and data quality within the HCM system.
 
Project Management and Implementation:
 
  • Lead small or support HCM-related larger change projects, including the implementation of new modules, system migrations, or major upgrades.
  • Work with project management teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors or consultants when required for HCM projects or technical solutions.
 
Security and Compliance:
 
  • Ensure HCM systems meet organisational security policies and industry standards.
  • Implement access control measures, roles, and permissions within the HCM systems to maintain system security.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR) and audit requirements.
General
  • Avoid conflict of interests between personal interests and the interests of the UK & Ireland group.
  • Exercise independent judgment, reasonable care, skill and diligence when carrying out their duties.
  • Act in good faith and promote the long-term success of each company within the UK & Ireland group for the benefit of all members and wider stakeholders.

  •  Support and promote the UK & Ireland group’s sustainability plans and policies, including the Carbon Management Plan, and carry out duties in a resource effective way, recognising the shared responsibility of minimising negative environmental impacts wherever possible.
Qualifications & Experience:

Necessary

  • Strong knowledge of HCM systems such as iTrent.
  • Experience with HCM configuration, customisation, and administration.
  • Knowledge of database management and workflow management.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms and APIs to connect HCM with other enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of SaaS, COTS and cloud-based technologies.

Desirable

  • 3+ years of experience working with HCM systems in a technical or analyst role.
  • Experience in HCM implementations, upgrades, or migrations is highly desirable.
