About The Role:

Days of Working: Monday to Friday

The Role:

The core function of the role is to be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and general PPMs across nationwide contracts. Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment; review and improve maintenance routines; carry out trouble shooting and repairs to equipment when failures occur. Installation and commissioning of new equipment as appropriate. Assist in the completion of small project works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing pipe including joins, valves, drains and fixtures in all types of facilities
  • Following current rules and regulations related to plumbing to ensure that systems pass inspection for the first time
  • Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials purchased for the work
  • Preparing quotes and estimating costs for project/reactive work
  • Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue and making a repair

 

Essential Hiring Criteria:

  • Qualified in plumbing trade
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Experienced in maintaining commercial environments and providing hard services
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Polite, welcoming and have a friendly manner and be an excellent team player
  • A good appreciation of Facilities, Maintenance and Incident Management is desirable
  • Awareness of Health & Safety
  • A flexible attitude and a proven record as a strong team player
  • Reliable and a good timekeeper
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills experience
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload efficiently and good problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and keep multiple customer issues in progress at once
  • Be well organised with an ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Utmost discretion and confidentiality in all matters relating to work is essential
