About The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Hard Services Manager to oversee the delivery, performance, and compliance of all hard facilities management services across our clients sites.  The role is based full time, on site, in Central London.

You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric systems, ensuring a safe, efficient, and legally compliant environment for all building users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and minor works for all MEP and building fabric systems.
  • Lead a team of engineers, contractors, and specialist service providers, ensuring high performance and value for money.
  • Monitor statutory compliance across all hard FM services, including ensuring all documentation and certifications are up to date.
  • Manage budgets and procurement of hard services contracts, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the Soft Services Manager, Health & Safety, and wider FM team to support smooth operations.
  • Lead on technical audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations as required.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives relating to building systems and infrastructure.
  • Produce regular reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognised technical or engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or time-served apprenticeship).
  • Proven experience in managing hard FM services in a multi-site or complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, statutory compliance, and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and contractor management skills.
  • Proficient in CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
