Rigger Operative

To rig/de-rig and earth towers on lattice steel towers as well as carry out Quality Assurance inspections on all work carried out by painting staff. In addition there will be limited amounts of painting work to be carried out as the contract demands.

• Safety – following OCS RAMS and completing dynamic risk assessments
• Earthing Towers – carrying earths up towers, and installing them to the Client specifications
• Rigging Towers – Carrying sets of ropes up towers and installing them to OCS specifications#
• QA Checks – Climbing towers to check the work of painting staff
• Call in Near Miss and Hazard reports
• Complete Site Paperwork via App system
• Complete other tasks as required
• Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is free flow of ideas.
• Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities.
• Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety. 
• Take responsibility for reviewing the safe system of work prior to the commencement of the work activity.
• Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.  
• Raise any concerns over Health & Safety breaches in accordance with Company Procedure.
