About The Role:

Working Days: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm shift

 Are you ready to be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator of our reception areas? Join OCS as a Concierge/Porter and be part of a team that values your role in creating a positive and organised environment. As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-ordinate the reception of staff and visitors, ensuring that they are directed or escorted according to need.
  • To work with reception volunteers and reception staff as needed to ensure efficient customer care.
  • Control the exterior reception area including traffic and car park management in the main entrance parking areas paying attention to the disabled parking bay areas
  • Ensuring that any smokers are directed to the designated smoking shelter.
  • Control the interior reception areas, ensuring that the visitor rest areas are kept free of debris and present a positive and welcoming environment. The post holder will initiate rapid remedial response through contact with appropriate Facilities staff.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Be a UK passport holder due to security clearance required.
  • An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate.
  • Extensive experience in direct customer roles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Adherence to patient confidentiality and data protection.
