About The Role

Overall Purpose of The role.

To manage, co-ordinate and maintain PRM services enabling the department to meet customer requirements consistently within the budget. 

They are responsible for enhancing the customer experience by improving processes and innovation.

Health & Safety Purpose: To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your subordinates and others who may be affected by your work activities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

  • To manage the operational activities of the Aviation PRM Team.
  • To project a positive and professional image of the operation to staff and clients alike.
  • To assist in maintaining staff discipline, including disciplinary issues and conformance with OCS Company and local Airport Authority regulations, including uniform standards and H & S regulations.
  • To ensure the staffing levels are in line with PRM demand and do not exceed the budgeted figures
  • To ensure all equipment & vehicles are maintained in proper working order.
  • To complete reports as and when required
  • To maintain a handover/log
  • To monitor the deployment of staff to ensure best possible utilisation of labour against daily demand for assistance, in line with forecast.
  • To identify the training requirements of Movement Controllers, Team Leaders, Supervisors, Drivers, Customer Care Agents, Temporary / Casual staff to ensure they can take full responsibility for their areas of work and are fully conversant with the Safe Systems of Work. To ensure training records are fully and accurately kept either by yourself, a Trainer, or designated persons
  • To ensure the work and relevant documentation is completed in such a manner as to enable accurate charging to be made at all times.
  • Regularly walk the job to evaluate workplace atmosphere and operational performance.
  • Hold an appraisal, at the agreed intervals, with immediate subordinates, and ensure all staff receive relevant training and performance development.
  • Ensure the appearance of the whole PRM Team are maintained to a high standard in line with company uniform policy.
  • Conduct Movement Controller and Team Briefings as per site agreement
  • To be prepared to undertake any other duties that will benefit the company and that you are capable of doing, having received the appropriate training

Details of the Role  

  • Ensure SLA is met and maintain high level of customer service
  • Respond to any customer queries, service failure reports and liaise with all airport customers
  • Ensure compliance with OCS policies and procedures
  • Assist with monitoring of absenteeism and Development of staff
  • Maintain all staff records to include return to work, Sickness self-certification forms and job competencies forms
  • Build a close relationship with all customers, answering queries and create a climate of trust.Work in partnership to resolve any issues.

Experience

  • Demonstrable management experience operating within a similar service sector environment (essential)
  • Proven track record in delivering effective customer service whilst maintaining appropriate operating margins (essential)
  • Previous experience of leading a large, diverse workforce (essential)
  • Working knowledge of industry practices (essential)
  • IOSH desirable
