About The Role:

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working on a major Retail contract

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for capital works, PPM reactive works projects.
  • Using advanced Excel spreadsheets to build cost models and analyse tender returns.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure cost accuracy.
  • Working closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure tenders are aligned with delivery capability.
  • Attending tender review meetings, contributing to bid presentations, and supporting post-tender negotiations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and labour costs across the retail maintenance sector.
  • Supporting the development of standard pricing libraries and continuous improvement in estimating processes.
  • Taking off quantities, reviewing specifications, and interpreting drawings to produce accurate pricing submissions.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within Capital, PPM, reactive maintenance, or property services.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including data analysis, formula building, and cost modelling.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret specifications and tender documents.
  • Excellent written and numerical accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with clients and supply chain partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
  • A positive, collaborative approach and a desire to develop within a reputable, forward-thinking contractor.
